Join us to learn more about "getting the most out out of your cover crops"! Partners of the Virginia Soil Health Coalition, led by Lydia Fitzgerald, Virginia Tech and NRCS Partnership Soil Health & Integrated Conservation Agronomist, and Dr. Michael Flessner, Extension Specialist at Virginia Tech, are hosting three on-farm field days to provide hands-on information about cover crops and how to maximize their benefits. The field days will take place:
Tuesday, March 7th in Halifax County: 4201 Leda Grove Rd, Nathalie, VA 24577
Wednesday, March 15th in Orange County: 7404 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Unionville, VA 22567
Thursday, March 16th in Rockingham County: 9405 Singers Glen Rd
The events will start with lunch and be followed by a field walk through on-farm cover crop plots. There will be amble opportunity for growers and their advisors to hear local farmers' cover crop strategies and questions.
